A library user’s card is required when borrowing books from the library. The card can be validly used for borrowing books for two years from the date it is issued. Some form of personal identification (documents containing your current address such as driver’s license, health insurance card, and student ID) is required when applying for a card.

If you would like to view any audio-visual materials within the library, we can lend you a portable DVD player. Use is limited to one time per person per day.

You can return borrowed books by delivery.
Please apply at the counter to receive a special bag and shipping label.
Place the books in the bag and you can send them from a convenience store, Yamato Transport office, or request a pickup.

You can use a public computer inside the library to browse the internet. Usage time is limited to 30 minutes per day per person. A 30-minute extension is available. Please apply at the counter when using the computer.

Wheelchairs are available within the library.
We also provide braille materials and large-print books for users who have difficulty reading.
Support services such as in-person reading assistance provided by volunteers are also available.
If you wish to use these services, please contact us in advance.
Please feel free to use them.

Strollers are available inside the library. We also have a nursing room equipped with a diaper changing bed and a water heater for preparing formula milk. Additionally, toilets exclusively for children are provided. Please feel free to use these facilities.

Drinks purchased within the library can be enjoyed at any seat. Food purchased within the library can be enjoyed in the designated areas.
Food brought from outside can only be enjoyed at the terrace seating area. Please refrain from bringing food into the library.

Starbucks is a specialty coffee store that was founded in Seattle, USA. You can enjoy a rich variety of espresso drinks made from high-quality Arabica coffee beans, as well as pastries and sandwiches. Drinks purchased here can be enjoyed within the library.

However, please note that pastries and sandwiches may only be enjoyed in the customer seating area on the left side of the café and on the terrace.

Please spend some enjoyable time surrounded by books, with your favorite coffee in one hand.

You will receive 1 V-point for every 220 yen (including tax) spent at Starbucks Coffee.
